О сериале

Джефферсону с детских лет прекрасно известно о том, что он отличается от других людей уникальной способностью генерировать внутри себя электрическую энергию. Став взрослым, он старается использовать свой необычный талант ради спасения от правонарушителей тех, кто нуждается в подобной защите. Он сражается как с обыкновенными преступниками, так и с личностями, наделенными некими особенными навыками. Но однажды отважному человеку приходится сделать выбор между героическими подвигами и семьей, в результате он решает поставить на первое место безопасность супруги и детей.

Мужчина отказывается от привычной для него маски Черной Молнии и всецело посвящает себя заботе о подрастающих дочерях. Он организовывает школу для обучения темнокожих ребят и ведет самое мирное существование до того момента, как в его городе появляются опаснейшие злоумышленники, нападающие на прохожих в любое время суток. Джефферсон вынужден вновь превратиться в супергероя и вернуться к прежнему образу жизни, но ситуация становится еще более серьезной, когда выясняется, что и одна из его дочерей обладает сверхъестественным даром.
