Ramír Delgado, was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. From a Puerto Rican father and Spanish mother, always demonstrated an interest in the arts, which came again later in his life. His father was a vocalist for the music group, Viva La Gente (Up With People), and his mother, was a secretary that worked with a record label, that signed music groups such as Menudo and La Pandilla. He inherited his father’s voice and the mother’s photographic eye. It was in the University of Puerto Rico, where he started his studies in biology. That same year his life took a turn, when his career went from biology to filmmaking and acting. After flunking an English test and flustered, he accidentally entered an audition, not knowing it was for Puerto Rican zombie film. Two weeks later, he was surprised with a phone call. He was informed of getting two roles in the Puerto Rican film, Barricada. One year later, he was admitted to the School of Mass Communications and started a minor in Drama. In 2006, he got his first cameo in the Sony Pictures film, Feel the Noise. As time went by, he continued his studies, so did the work in front and behind camera. In 2007, he started shooting runways for Puerto Rican fashion designers. Balancing school work, acting and production wasn’t an easy task, but had it rewards. He has had several more cameos and minor roles in both Puerto Rican films and US films. He has worked with and around actors like Benicio del Toro,Johnny Depp, Rachelle Lafevre, Stephen Moyer, Danny McBride, Deep Roy, among others. In May 2009, he was the lead for an Axe Hair commercial campaign in Puerto Rico. One month later, it was in the Puerto Rican film, 4 Estrella, were he started his career as a still photographer in films. In November, he played an elf in a TV commercial for Centennial of Puerto Rico, for the X’mas campaign. December 2009, he graduates Magna Cum Laude. In January 2010, Ramír attended the IMTA convention (convention where talents such as Aston Kutcher, Katie Holmes, Ashley Greene were discovered) in Los Angeles, California. He was the 1st place winner for the T7 Sitcom category. Days and several callbacks later, he was offered the Brett Rattner Grant for an acting program, in the New York Film Academy. Six months later he continued his acting training. He started getting more speaking roles in short films and discovered he wanted to be a character actor. His production work also continued with various international filmmakers, whose films have won several prizes in various film festivals.
