Lara Binamé was born in Montreal, Quebec, in 1990. She is of British, Belgian and Scottish descent. Her father, Charles Binamé, is a critically acclaimed Canadian film director and her mother, a producer and interior designer. Growing up, she spent time on set, as well as around the film & television industries; and took part in theatre productions every summer. She studied creative writing, as well as fine/studio art; working as a freelance copywriter for several years before shifting her focus towards acting, in 2016. Training out of Montreal, she booked a first film role in Allure (2017) and moved to Toronto a year later. She has since appeared on shows such as CBC’s The Detectives (2018), NBC’s Taken (2017), Hallmark’s Good Witch (2015) & CBS’ Clarice (2021).
