Jon Rudnitsky is a multifaceted performer and writer who transitions seamlessly between film, television, stand up and sketch work. Most recently he starred in Hallie Meyers-Shyer’s “Home Again” opposite Reese Witherspoon. The Nancy Meyers produced comedy follows a single mom in Los Angeles as her life takes an unexpected turn when she allows three young guys to move in with her. On December 1, Rudnitsky can be seen in James Franco’s “The Disaster Artist” for A24 and New Line Cinema. He will also be featured in a supporting role in Edward Burns’ “Summertime” which tells the story of working-class teenagers and 20-somethings as they manage summer jobs, love and what the future holds. Additionally, Rudnitsky recently wrapped production on Netflix’s comedy “Set it Up” opposite Glen Powell and Zoey Deutch. “Set it Up” follows two assistants who get involved in their boss’ romantic relationships. On the small screen, Rudnitsky recently performed “Footloose” alongside Kenny Loggins on Comedy Central’s “The Comedy Jam” and will be in the upcoming season of HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” In 2015, Rudnitsky was added as the only new cast member to join the 41st season of NBC’s legendary “Saturday Night Live.” He was featured in a host of sketches, most notably his “Dirty Dancing” routine featured on Weekend Update. He co-wrote and starred in the sketch “50’s Dance” alongside host Miley Cyrus in his very first show, and had audiences laughing from his sketch “Pirate Ship” with host Chris Hemsworth. As a stand-up comedian, Rudnitsky has toured all over the country and was recently selected as one of the “New Faces” at the prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal. He studied and graduated from USC’s BFA Acting Conservatory program where he was given the John Ritter Memorial Award For Outstanding Comic Performance. Rudnitsky was born and raised in the suburbs of New Jersey and lives in Los Angeles.
