Краткая биография

Born in Swinton, a small town in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, UK, John’s first love was football. He played at Academy level for Rotherham United and Manchester United. He turned his back on football in favour of the stage, attending Wentworth Youth Theatre. He also appeared in Shameless for Channel 4, Spooks Liberty for BBC and The Street for ITV. John attended Wath Comprehensive School before studying Law at the University of York. He chaired the Drama Society at York, programming their 30 shows a year at the on campus student theatre, The Barn. In his third year he was cast in the rep season at York Theatre Royal. After gradating from York Law School with a 1st Class Honours Degree, he trained as an actor at Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Arts Educational Schools, London (ArtsEd), on full scholarship and left with a 1st Class Masters. Since graduating in 2013 his work on stage includes national, international tours and West End, working with Kate Wasserberg at Out of Joint, David Thacker at Bolton Octagon, Jack McNamara and Fiona Buffini at Nottingham Playhouse, and most recently Chris Lawson. His TV work includes The Rook for Starz, playing opposite Gina McKee, Flack for CBS/Pop with Anna Paquin, Lydia Wilson and Sophia La Porter, and most recently The English Game by Julian Fellowes for Netflix, with Edward Holcroft and Kev Guthrie He has voiced many characters for the Dark Shadows series, as well as two Audible original dramas.
