Carla Renata is a native of St. Louis, Missouri and a graduate of Howard University, where she obtained a B.A. in Broadcast Production with some post-grad work at UCLA She is the ONLY actress to have recurred on “four” network shows simultaneously in one episodic season Twice. She currently recurs on Tyler Perry’s “The Have and The Have Nots”, NBC’s “Superstore” and CBS’s “Living Biblically”. Carla has been seen and/or heard in numerous commercials, Broadway shows, with the most recent being “Gary Coleman” (yes, that Gary Coleman) in the Tony Award Winning musical “Avenue Q”. She is a film critic/blogger for The Curvy Film Critic, freelancer for NPR and member of (AAFCA) African American Film Critics Association and (LAOFCS) Los Angeles Online Film Critics Association.
