Ade Chike Torbert, has a career that spans television, film & stage. In 2016 he joined the cast of the Emmy nominated HULU series; “East Los High” as Caleb Summers. Ade Chike appears as Short Stack in the 2018 indie drama “Be The Light” starring alongside; Cara Santana & Malcolm J. Goodwin. Then as Calvin, alongside Chris Pine in the 2018 TNT drama “One Day She’ll Darken”; directed by Patty Jenkins. Born in Brooklyn, NY he began studying dance & theater at the age of 6. His training commenced at the Restoration Dance Theater & Harlem School of the Arts. He was later accepted into the esteemed Fiorello H. LaGuardia High school. Then went on to train at The Alvin Ailey School, Boston Conservatory & New World School of the Arts. Ade Chike has created a career as both a dancer & an actor. In 2010 he competed on FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance & secured a spot in their “Top 4”. He has appeared in numerous projects such as; Grease: Live!, Dancing With The Stars, Glee & Fuller House. On stage Ade Chike made his Broadway debut in the “Tony Award Winning Musical; FELA!” & has been a featured guest star on the ABC series “The Real O’Neals & Nickelodeon’s Game Shakers. His talents as an actor, choreographer & movement coach have taken him to various parts of the world such as, South Africa, Japan, Belarus & The Netherlands. Ade Chike is passionate about teaching, empowering young artists & motivating them to recognize the power within themselves.
