Actress and singer Sheryl Rubio was born on 28 December 1992 in Caracas, Venezuela. She is the daughter of Oscar Rubio and Damaris Rojas, she had an older sister, Damaris Belmonte, who was murdered in 1997 by her boyfriend. In 2007, Rubio was cast as the lead in the Boomerang series Somos tú y yo (2007), where character of Sheryl Sanchez. The show was a smash and hit records, sell-out tours and merchandising deals soon followed. Rubio became a teen superstar. In 2010, reprised her role as Sheryl Sanchez in the series, No puede ser (2010). The series is the second spin-off of Somos tú y yo and marks the closing of the series. Following the success of Somos tú y yo (2007) Rubio made the move into other roles – including playing Stefanny Miller in Mi ex me tiene ganas (2011) and Lucía Dávila in The House of Flowers (2018). Her actress career includes participaciones in soap operas like Amantes De Luna Llena (2000) La viuda joven (2010), Corazón Esmeralda (2012) and Guerra De Idolos (2017).
