Joey Vieira was born and raised in the sunny state of California. He and his sister grew up in the small farming town of Livingston where his first languages were Spanish and Portuguese. While playing sports in High School, Vieira started training in ballet and got involved in musical theatre, which is where he first stepped onto a stage. The love of the arts would lead him to getting his Bachelors in Theatre at California State University of Northridge and breaking into the film and television world in Los Angeles. He felt it was important to get a taste of all the different aspects of the industry, working in production, casting, writing and acting. Eventually he made acting his focus and soon had roles on shows including “Texas Rising,” “Kitchen Confidential,” “The Shield” and voice roles on “The Simpsons.” The past few years of work include the award winning film “The Devil May Care,” “San Andreas,” “Jungle” and the live action movie “Dora the Explorer” where he plays Diego’s Father “Nico”. Joey met his Australian partner in 2004, and together they have traveled extensively and chosen to be bi-coastal, living between Australia and the USA with their son, 4 dogs and cat Pickles.
