Chad James Buchanan grew up in the outer regions of Columbus, Ohio in a middle-classed household. He is the son of Melissa (Bradley), a former Miss Ohio/First Runner-Up to Miss America and talented singer, and Tod Buchanan, a highly accomplished illusionist. Primarily raised by his mother, Chad and his siblings Chase and Chloe, led childhoods dominated by sports activities. Chad held numerous state swimming and wrestling records, quarterbacked middle school and high school football teams, and captained the lacrosse team. Following in the footsteps of his older brother Chase, an ATP tour professional who was ranked #1 nationally in his teenage years, Chad won a state doubles championship and two state team championships in tennis. On a whim, Chad decided to move to New York City his senior year in high school to pursue studies in drama. To support his efforts Chad took up a career in modeling and landed international campaigns and work for brands such as Calvin Klein and Versace. Chad’s first movie role brought him back to the Midwest, when he was cast in a small part in a film… Shortly after, a modeling stint in Miami landed him a Guest Star on the Fox series “The Glades”. He then moved to Los Angeles and enrolled in a classical training drama conservatory. Upon graduating Chad soon began landing consistent roles in both film and television.
